- Supersimple design. Surprisingly never created before even if Sokoban exists since 1982. And that is not entirely true... Read discussion

pc46 Pro@bjertrup: I found two puzzles that look the same as your Merry-go-round. Microban 3 #7 by David Skinner and Microcosmos #9 by Aymeric du Peloux.February 15 2018 at 15:40
- Opeth2112 Pro@pc46: Aha, so I suppose he didn't find a match because of the slightly different starting positions, though mechanically they are the same puzzles.February 16 2018 at 02:16
- bjertrup Pro@pc46: Yes. That's right. Only the layout of the boxes differs a bit but basically it is the same level. . I was surprised YASC didn't find a match but i only looked for a perfect match.Selecting the option "Similar to current level" YASC found both Skinner and du Peloux.February 17 2018 at 16:02

- Opeth2112 Pro@mikearcher: Yes that puzzle is very similar. It shows that one can't rely on memory, since I actually solved yours on New Year's Day.February 15 2018 at 15:25

bjertrup ProIt often surprises me how simple and small levels you can create and yet nobody ever made them before. I really didn't expect Merry-go-round to be new and unique. But it is even if it is very simple and small with a nice symmetrical design that is often popular with level authors.February 15 2018 at 07:18
- Opeth2112 Pro@bjertrup: Great information, thank you. A database larger than this site seems overwhelming but it's a nice bonus to your puzzle to show that fact in the description. Also 'Merry Christmas 2017' is one of my favorite classic puzzles yet.February 15 2018 at 08:18

bjertrup ProSecond thing: You can go to sourcecode.se and make a online check against the level database there. Also a big collection but not matching my own.February 15 2018 at 07:11

bjertrup ProFirst thing: I think I have most of the Sokoban levels ever published in my own personal collection. Quite a lot more than you find here at Sokobanonline. I use the Sokoban Solver YASCs functions to check if a level already is in the collection.February 15 2018 at 07:10

Opeth2112 ProNice puzzle bjertrup and interesting that you say 'never created before'. Do you know of a method to verify that, like checking the design against a large database of older puzzles or something?February 15 2018 at 05:53
