    Design detail: The single rail above the start position is there to prevent conversion of the puzzle type from modern to classic when submitting it for publication which would have otherwise meant the the red boxes weren't which kinda woulda have defeated the purpose.

      Not really? And there are a lot of puzzles out there that move from one word to another (or move a word around) with plenty of free space. If anything, it's a much easier version of my Trump-to-Biden puzzle.
